Amidst the Coronavirus and society shutting down, we are in the middle of the Census campaign. Being the Geek of Englewood, it is super crucial for me to support positive actions that benefit my community. Though the system has constantly been the adversary to Black Americans, we are all still within the US and the parameters of our liberty is based on the conditions of our environment. The US CENSUS is a structural driver for allocating funds for all communities, roughly representing $1800 per person, so in a community that has been historically disinvested into and disenfranchised it is our duty to show up. The Resident Association of Greater Englewood is doing the groundwork to mobilize resources during this massive layoff and is also advocating for Englewood to complete their census application.
